South Korean prosecutors are reportedly preparing to clear First Lady Kim Keon Hee, the wife of President Yoon Suk Yeol, of any criminal charges related to her acceptance of a luxury handbag. The handbag, valued at 3 million won ($2,250), was given to her by a pastor under circumstances that sparked political controversy.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office concluded that there was no direct connection between President Yoon's duties and the gift, nor was there evidence of favors exchanged in return. This investigation, which began in May after a secretly recorded video of the handbag exchange surfaced, has been closely watched, particularly by Yoon's political opponents, who accused Kim of corruption.

Kim was questioned for 12 hours in July, marking the first time a sitting First Lady had been summoned for such an investigation. Both Kim and President Yoon have denied any wrongdoing, with Yoon publicly apologizing for his wife's "unwise behavior."

Despite the expected clearance, the opposition Democratic Party has criticized the investigation, calling for a special counsel probe to uncover the full truth. The handbag may be auctioned off or stored as part of the presidential records, according to reports.

A Seoul court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by Pastor Lee Dong-hwan, who sought to overturn a two-year suspension imposed on him by the Korean Methodist Church for offering prayers to sexual minorities. Pastor Lee, who presides over Glory Jeil Church, was disciplined by the church after leading a blessing ritual for sexual minorities at a queer festival in Incheon in 2019.

After his appeal within the church was rejected, Lee took the matter to court in February 2023, seeking to have the suspension nullified. However, the Seoul Central District Court ruled against him on Wednesday, stating that the disciplinary action cannot be overturned unless it is proven to be unjust under canon law or if there is no valid reasoning behind the measures taken.

Oh My Girl has unveiled the second set of concept photos for their upcoming 10th mini-album, Dreamy Resonance. The photos, titled "Sonetto," show the members in a serene and contemplative setting, with their expressions neutral as they gather together in the warm glow of a sunset. This visual approach contrasts sharply with the first concept photos, "Serenade," where the members appeared against a night sky, exuding a fairy-like charm.

In these new images, the group displays a completely different aesthetic, with changes in their outfits, hairstyles, and makeup that give off a more subdued, almost doll-like appearance. WM Entertainment, the group's agency, also released unit photos corresponding to the album's tracklist. These images feature unique combinations of the members: Hyojung with YooA, Mimi with Seunghee, and Yubin with Arin. Each unit maintains a similar mood, emphasizing both unity and individuality.

The different styles showcased in the concept photos have significantly heightened fans' excitement for Oh My Girl's comeback. Starting Wednesday, the group will release teaser videos, building anticipation for the album's release.

Dreamy Resonance marks Oh My Girl's first comeback in over a year, following their ninth mini-album released in July 2023. The new album is scheduled to drop on Monday at 6 p.m. across various music platforms.
